TURNING CONFLICT INTO COLLABORATION    

   
 

Deadlines, change, stress, miscommunication, confusion over responsibilities ... there is no shortage of opportunities for conflict in the workplace. However, there is a loss of productivity when employees spend all their time dealing with conflict. Constructively addressing conflict is a critical skill for everyone in the workplace.

This workshop teaches participants to take the initiative in resolving conflict with their coworkers and cooperating to find win/win solutions for most disagreements. During this session content will be shared to help participants avoid the negative consequences of conflict by learning to analyze conflict and seeing the value it can offer them and their co-workers. Participants will learn the five steps to addressing conflict in a way that helps everyone turn a conflict situation into collaboration.

Length: ½ day and full day sessions available.

Desired Outcomes : By participating in this session, participants will be able to:

 
  • Determine the causes of conflict.
  • Identify their role in dealing with personal and team conflict.
  • Utilize a step-by-step process to resolve conflicts.
  • Develop an action plan for a conflict they are experiencing now, or anticipate encountering in the future.
