Motivated, engaged employees are essential to the success of any organization. When the working climate is failing managers often experience that their best people are resigning and the many consider management to be the enemy. If you find yourself spending most of your time motivating people that don't care and the rest putting out fires, then it's time to learn the essentials of effective motivation.

One of the most important leadership skills is the ability to motivate others. Very often we are not in touch with what would really motivates those who work with us. Therefore, in order to create a team who is empowered, loyal and committed, leaders must understand the dynamics of motivation.
