Paul Mottola

Bringing over 20 years of experience, Paul is a seasoned executive leader, coach, master facilitator and training designer, with an extensive knowledge base in the areas of leadership, team building, leveraging diversity, equal employment opportunity compliance, affirmative action implementation, sexual harassment prevention and conflict resolution. With his excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, he is sought after for his ability to lead and implement large group training interventions, as well as for his subject matter expertise, engaging presentation skills and his ability to build strong relationships with clients around the globe.

He has worked as a manager/trainer/facilitator in governmental and private sector organizations throughout the world. As an internal consultant for the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) in Cocoa Beach, Florida, Paul served as the Deputy Director of External Training. In this role he managed the International Training Directorate which provided international consulting and in-resident instruction to international students. He developed an international training course in strategic planning and policy writing for equal opportunity programs used by the governments of the United Kingdom , Canada , South Korea, Russia and the Republic of South Africa. He represented the United States in the first-ever Mobile Education and Training Team visit to the Republic of South Africa to provide equal opportunity program training for the South African National Defence Force. Paul designed a two-day senior executive equal opportunity seminar required for all Department of Defense senior executives. As DEOMI's subject matter expert on affirmative action and gender integration, he traveled extensively and interacted in cultures throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa .

Most recently Paul has focused his consulting efforts in the private sector. He has developed and delivered leadership, team building, diversity and EEO compliance training in Fortune 500 companies. Paul has lectured on the relationship between equal employment opportunity, affirmative action and leveraging diversity. He has provided executive coaching for senior leaders throughout the public and private sectors in the areas of leadership, leveraging diversity and EEO compliance. Paul is a master facilitator for various national corporate diversity and EEO compliance training programs.

Paul received his M.S. in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida, and his B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Paul also his Basic Mediation and Community Conflict Intervention certification from the Centre for Conflict Resolution in Cape Town, Republic of South Africa.

Paul is committed to achieving outstanding organizational results through fostering understanding, inclusion and respect for human dignity. He has volunteered his consulting services to school districts in Florida and New Jersey and has been involved in the Building Inclusive Communities program offered by the National Conference for Community and Justice. He is past Chairperson of Central Florida's American Society for Training and Development Diversity Committee and past President of the DEOMI Foundation, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to building respectful relationships among people in both community and business. As a husband and father, he is dedicated to living a life of balance, excelling and finding fulfillment in both his personal and professional lives.
