WHAT IS DIVERSISCAN™?
An interactive activity and discussion on diversity-related opportunities and challenges that typically emerge within organizations in the U.S.

You will utilize a learning and assessment tool that sharpens your diversity vision and enhances your ability to recognize diversity-related indicators within your organization. This activity leads you through four steps that are critical for managing diversity - LEARN, ASSESS, DIALOGUE and PLAN.

LEARN
The Scanning Instument provides a holistic framework for thinkng about diveristy on an organizational level. Rather than simply responding to issues of challenges as they occur, learn to proactively scan the corporate landscape and recognize issues, needs or opportunities that are important to your company's success in a diverse world.

ASSESS
Focusing your vision on 12 diversity-related signposts or indicators in your business landscape, assess your own workplace or organization on each of these indicators.

DIALOGUE
Through comparison and discussion of team members' individual assessments, you will share perspectives and experienes with colleagues about your organizations' culture and environment. This enables realistic dialogue about diversity that incorporates diverse point of view and diverse viewing points.

PLAN
In teams, identify those opportunities and challenges that are most significant to you or your organization. Begin to build strategies for proactively addressing diversity-related issues and opportunities.
